 Department of Mathematics

 Mathematics is the most ancient subject of sciences and so is the Department of Mathematics in KSNGDC(W). The Department consists of a versatile combination of senior experienced faculty and active young faculty. Mathematics is the parent subject for Physical Sciences and it’s like a backbone for technological advancement in today’s world. Therefore great care is taken to explain the subject matter in such a way that, even an average student is able to understand it. The treatment of theory is done in a systematic and interesting manner.
About The Department:

Mathematics is introduced in the college in the year 1990 as one of the subjects at the degree level with Physics and Computer Science combination. Electronics is introduced in the college in the year 2013 as one of the subjects in U.G with Mathematics & Computer Science combination. At present the department has 2 Regular Faculties.

We will be a source for the promotion of problem solving, analytical thinking and utilizing technology. We will produce high quality mathematics majors well prepared to enter the work force. We will provide students with individualized help in their studies as needed to successfully complete their mathematics courses.

The mission of the mathematics department is to provide an environment where students can learn and become competent users of mathematics and mathematical application. Moreover, the department will contribute to the development of students as mathematical thinkers, enabling them to become lifelong learners, to continue to grow in their chosen professions, and to function as productive citizens .
